The FairFix difference

The number you actually want — before anyone tries to sell you anything.

Everywhere else, you describe your job and wait for a tradesman to quote you. We flip it. Before a single bid arrives, our pricing model shows you what people in your postcode actually paid for the same work over the last twelve months.

It's not a diagnosis and it's not a magic number. It's an honest band based on real invoices — so when a quote comes in double, you'll know. And when it comes in fair, you'll know that too.

"A pipe burst under the sink on a Saturday morning and I was in bits. Cathal from Ranelagh saw the bid, called back in about eight minutes and was at the door in forty. Charged exactly what the app said he would. Would use again in a heartbeat."

"Got three quotes elsewhere for an EV charger install, all over €1,200. FairFix showed me the fair range was €800–€950. Ended up with an SEAI-registered lad who did the whole thing with the grant. Saved us about €300 in the end — no messing."

"We rewired the whole house — three-bed semi, 1970s wiring, the works. What I loved was the app broke down every line of the quote so nothing was a surprise. Six bids came in, all fair range. Chose Kevin because his reviews were unreal. Job done in four days."

For Tradesmen

Ireland's tradesmen deserve better than pay-per-lead.

No €12 fees to send a quote. No bidding wars for scraps. No fake leads. Homeowners see your work and your ratings — and pay you directly. Keep 100% of what you earn in your first month, then a flat 4% platform fee. That's it.

Everything, honestly.

No small print, no dodgy bits. If we haven't answered it here, ping us on WhatsApp and a real human will get back to you.

What if the actual price is different from the AI estimate?
The AI estimate is a range, not a fixed number — so if the tradesman quotes within the band, that's a fair price. If a quote comes in above the band, they need to explain why (unusual complexity, extra parts, tricky access). Roughly 87% of final invoices land inside our estimated range. If yours doesn't, you can ask questions in-app before accepting, and no money moves until you approve the final price.
How do I know a tradesman is qualified?
Every tradesman on FairFix goes through a real verification: we check RECI for electricians, RGII for gas installers, Safe-Pass for site work, plus tax clearance and public liability insurance (minimum €6.5m). Their licence number and expiry date are shown on their profile. If a certification expires, they're paused automatically until they renew. Ratings come only from verified completed jobs — nobody can leave a review without a booking.
What happens if the tradesman doesn't show up?
You get your €15 inspection fee back straight away, and we auto-rebook the next-best tradesman for you — usually within two hours. The no-show tradesman gets a strike on their account. Three strikes and they're off the platform for good. You don't need to phone anyone or fill in a form: just tap "they didn't show" in the app after the booking window closes.
How does the €15 inspection fee work?
When you accept a bid, we hold €15 in escrow — not paid to anyone yet. When the tradesman arrives on-site, both of you tap "started" in the app. That €15 is then credited toward your final invoice, so you're not paying extra. If the job doesn't proceed after inspection (say the diagnosis is different from what you described), the tradesman keeps the €15 for their time and travel — which is fair to them and cheap insurance for you.
Which counties do you cover?
We're live across the four main cities right now — Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick — with dense tradesman coverage in every postcode. We're rolling out to Waterford, Kilkenny, Sligo and the wider commuter belt through the second half of 2026. If you're outside those areas, drop your Eircode into the app and we'll email you the day we go live near you. No waiting list, no spam.
How much do tradesmen pay to use FairFix?
€0 to sign up. €0 per lead. 0% commission for your first month. After that, a flat 4% of the invoice value — that's it. No monthly subscription, no pay-per-bid, no premium tier. We make money when tradesmen make money. Compare that to Bark.com's €12–€30 per lead or the 20%+ commissions elsewhere, and you can see why 2,500+ Irish tradesmen have already switched over.
